Corenco, Incorporated was formed on December 1st, 1977 by Charles
E. Cory, P.E. His idea was to produce affordable processing equipment that
was held to his high standards for quality and user-friendliness. From 1977
until 1980, Chuck worked on designs, and did consulting for RietzTM/BepexTM
and others.NOTE: Since the name Corenco caused some confusion (CorEnCo was the contracted name for Cory Engineering Company). The Corenco name was used as a "brand only" ID" from 1980 to 1994. The first two Corenco Disintegrators were sold into the Apple and Soybean processing markets in 1980. Over 80% of the machines produced under the Corenco brand name were sold into these two markets between 1980 and 1990. In January of 1991, the business was purchased by Chuck's son, Chris, who operates the business to this day with the assistance of Jeff Boheim and Chris' wife, Saraj Cory. Since that time, the business base has broadened, and is now less than 20% Soya and Apple (for a listing of products processed, see our Grinder Finder), with an increasing emphasis on dry pulverizing and delumping, as well as pharmaceutical, chemical and dairy. In 1994, the business was incorporated and moved back to Sebastopol, California, where it has been operating ever since. |
